Mediatonic are looking for a Junior Tech Artist - initially for a 6-month contract - to assist with the implementation of UI designs into our games. This presents a fantastic opportunity for candidates looking to join the industry or further stretch their careers in a high performing mobile-focussed environment.
This Junior Tech Artist role will require the successful candidate to deliver the artistic vision of the UI team within the confines of engine limitations and game specifications. During implementation you will also be expected to log (and resolve) issues and ensure artwork consistently meets a high quality bar. Liaising with (and supported by) the wider team, you will deliver game features and polish existing artwork within the game to deliver a best-in-class player experience.
As Junior Tech Artist your primary function will be to use/learn to use proprietary and off-the-shelf software to support the development of Game User Interface. This role focuses on the implementation (within Unity) of pre-made UI elements, ensuring the game delivers a high quality visual experience.
A Junior Tech Artist demonstrates raw talent and a willingness to work hard and a desire to improve. The successful candidate will possess some experience of working within the context of a commercial games project, and meet the following requirements:
