Community Manager

Overview

The Irregular Corporation is a UK based on publisher focused on games for niche markets and communities. We like to make things that are a little bit different.

We produce and release three to four new digital games each year, working closely with development teams across the world.

Due to the success of recent releases, we’re looking for a Community Manager who can support our players, gathering and responding to feedback to ensure we’re meeting their needs.  

We are a small, agile team. We’re able to make rapid decisions and move quickly. We work remotely, typically meeting in person once every few weeks. 

This is a varied and diverse role, with huge potential for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for growing and supporting the community around our titles, establishing and growing a bond between the TIC team and our awesome players.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Be the voice of our community inside the company.
  • Keeping the community up-to date, collect their feedback and communicate it to the game teams and relevant stakeholders.
  • Verify bugs reported by the community, categorizing and collating them, circulating regular reports to stakeholders.
  • Engage players and build a great relationship with and among them, so they’ll enjoy playing the game even more.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of community programs and initiatives and make recommendations for continued enhancement and improvement
  • Use your creativity to come up with online and offline community events, such as Streams with the developers and competitions.
  • Run and grow our social media accounts on Twitter and Facebook through leveraging the power of the medium
  • Ensure community activities (eg, Fansites, Fan art) are recognized and highlighted within the games and on social media.
  • Organize and attend events and trade shows to demonstrate the game to both press and consumers.
  • Record Footage & Create new videos to highlight new game updates and features.

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who is super positive and passionate about building great communities. Requirements include:

  • 2 years+ Community Management experience
  • Pro-active and full of ideas and energy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to record footage, composite and edit videos
  • Able to travel and attend various game shows where appropriate

This will be the first Community hire at The Irregular Corporation so we’re looking for a passionate self-starter who can jump in and hit the ground running. 

Given our focus on remote working, you’ll be responsible for managing your own tasks and time.
